The Bristol Whales

The Bristol Whales represented the beauty and fragility of our oceans, highlighting the ever-growing problem of plastic pollution within their environment.

They were featured on the BBC’s Blue Peter and were nominated as one of the world’s ten top environmental sculptures.

These two remarkable whales were designed, built and installed by our experienced team of sculptors. Using locally grown Somerset willow was woven over and into a steel skeleton, creating two beautiful, over life size whales rising from a sea of recycled plastic bottles.
